Could have been better...

Has plenty of room for improvement, I could have stayed alive all night, but I eventually got bored (I've seen others' suggestions, and can't think of many new things to add), so after letting it kill me, here's my final score.

(only 20 mil points below the daily lowest, too bad I'm tired and bored)

Try for a sequel, with more features, and it'd be nice if it was more strategic. Other than that, nice game!

grainsalt responds:

One of the best suggestions I had recently to make it more strategic was the concep of blocks that unlock fixed blocks that you can't fire through etc.. I think that would be something I would add to a sequel..

Thanks for the feedback.

Simply amazing!

The physics are wicked, the puzzles are sick, the animation is simple yet smooth! I only have one thing to complain about... Mel Gibson... I know, it is quite the hilarious sprite of him, but still, haha. Well to anyone who is reading this, if you enjoy working that brain muscle, you'll enjoy this game as much as I did, as well as the Fancy Mel Gibson unlockable character ;P

Almost perfect

great fun and all, the only problem is that you're screwed if you run out of ammo.

I'm fixing the highscore board so come back when its updated and make your mark =D.

Meh

Nothing new or interesting, and you should explain the controls more clearly, but it's an ok game

MaxManning responds:

What was unclear about the controls ? I did put a prompt before the game starts.

Sorry if it was confusing, let me know and I'll make it more clear.

Has potential, but

Is unresponsive and doesn't say what the controls are.

Spectacular!

A very simple game, yet it's simplicity is used to maximum effect. In other words, it's hilarious! I was laughing the whole time! This is one heck of an original and fun simple game!

It's not bad.

NEEDS background music, otherwise it kinda gets boring. You need to develop the storyline more. Could use multiple direction commands (up+right, down+left, etc.) Could be a bit more zoomed, and could definitely lose the large maps. (use more smaller maps instead) Also could take a cue from LoZ, and make every part count.(ie: lose the many "dead ends") Make the "dungeons" to the boss's longer, and more involved than just "find the upgrades, clear the boss area, kill him." Make it more of a challenge to get the upgrades. (ie:mini-bosses, above normal enemies, etc.) Put in more weapons, upgrade the AI, put more strategy into beating the bosses, and more variation. Don't leave the edges of the screen blank where you cannot proceed to the next screen. (put a ledge/cliff/obstacle/etc. to show that you cannot get through there. Could use a few puzzles.

Nice graphics (though some pieces could have been smoothed out), generally smooth movement, classic gameplay style, story concept was pretty good (just need more elaboration), and animation/characters looked nice. It's an ok game, but definitely could see some improvement.

Mind Bending, board after board!

I thoroughly enjoyed this masterpiece. It's uniques style and large amount of puzzles kept me interested and thinking all the way through. I loved the cake, it was delicious. I am proud to say that I obtained the cake, not many games are challenging, but not frustrating to the point where one would give up. You hit the nail right on the head on that point. The graphics were very good, especially considering the length of the game. You have a great puzzle making mind, so I hope to see more of your work in the future. Also, a level edit version would be nice if you could make one in your spare time. Some of the crushers could have been faster, to make it more challenging. Also, you should look into making longer levels. At the end, I was screaming (not literally) for more. Maybe a sequel is in order? Anyways, brilliant work, complete genius. Music wasn't the best, you could have had more themed music, had different themes for every 5 boards or something to that effect, just to mix it up a little. (This just popped into my head, but,) If you do plan an any kind of a sequal, you could add the ability to upgrade the portal gun at some point to allow two sets of portals at once, allowing the player to switch between sets with the press of a button. Just some random improvement thoughts. Sorry about all of my rambling, I tend to do that at times. Great job on the game, I loved it. (I'm done, I swear)

Ask me about myself.
